Dana, or generosity, is an open-handed practice. It may include material support, time, effort, knowledge, or simply making room for another person. Its value is not measured only by quantity.

Service in a community becomes more meaningful when it is planned carefully, listens to real needs, and treats everyone with equal respect. Dignity belongs at the center of both giving and receiving.

Even with limited money, a person can share a meal, offer a small task, or speak an encouraging word. Sustainable generosity should not harm the giver or make the receiver feel indebted.
